I know, I know, I haven’t updated my blog for a couple of weeks. I keep thinking about all the things I want to write and need to post, but this month suddenly snowballed into a place where I have very little free time (or blogging time).
First, Jesse wanted to earn a little extra money, so we decided that he could sell a few pumpkin pies to expats here for the holidays. I need to make the pie crust, but Jess does a spectacular job of making a fluffy delicious pumpkin pie filling. So, I advertised on the FB board for expats in our area that we’d be selling a few pies through the holidays and WOW! The response was beyond what I expected! So, I spend part of most days making pie crusts and supervising Jesse while he does the rest.
Second, my freelance writing gigs have started to take off and I’m trying to keep the momentum going. So, while I have been writing, it’s not showing up on the blog.
Third, I’ve really felt a need to get back into shape. I’m not overweight or unhealthy, but I’m not at the place where I would like to be either. So I’ve put myself first and started the Insanity workout videos. For the record, the workout is aptly named. But I feel great after only a few days and I’m committed to putting my health first again.
Of course I still have all the other day to day time-eaters going on as well. Homeschooling, needy dogs, a house that never seems to stay clean, etc. But after Thanksgiving the pie making should taper off and I should have a more streamlined routine down. One in which blogging is a part of. So bear with me and I’ll be back soon with more travel stories and expat adventures!
